Some of my top priorities this session are the same
things that you are worried about. The economy,
transportation, education and a business-friendly
environment are all very important to me.
What we need is a new approach to these old problems and
I hope to provide some outside of the thinking. We
need to change direction before it is too late and new
ideas and solutions are going to be the key.
I think it is important that the State uses its money
responsibly, and that there is a connection between the
payer and the spender. That connection will make people
be more aware of how much money is being spent and make
sure it is not wasteful.
Educating our children and preparing our workforce
effectively and efficiently should be a top priority.
The taxpayers deserve to expect that their money is
spent in the most efficient way possible.
Illegal immigration is causing a multitude of fiscal,
judicial, criminal and social problems in Colorado that
we are all reading and hearing about daily. We also need
to look at turning-off the spigot rather than building a
dike (wall) or continually mopping-up afterward.
I believe that healthy businesses in Colorado will
continue to be uppermost in my thinking as the most
effective and efficient path to quality of life, strong
families and economic security for all Coloradoans.
This is just a brief overview, and, as I said before,
feel free to contact me about any issues you want to
discuss
!
