About Glenn
Overview
Glenn Vaad is the State House Representative for
House District 48, which is a position he has held since
2006.
Glenn’s passion lies in transportation issues, thanks to
the 30 years he spent working for the Colorado
Department of Transportation (CDOT) doing Construction
Engineering, Long-Range Planning, Project Management and
Administration.
Because of his extensive knowledge in the transportation
sector, he serves as the Ranking Republican Member of
the House Transportation and Energy Committee. Glenn is
also a member of the House Appropriations House Services
committees and a co-chair of the General Assembly’s
“Transportation Caucus” formed in 2007 to bring focus on
Colorado’s needs.
Before being elected as a State Representative, Glenn
spent 8 years as a Weld County Commissioner.
Glenn is very committed to public service and is active
in his church and community. He served on the Saint
Vrain Valley School Board for nine years and has also
worked as a volunteer fireman and EMT.
Glenn and his lovely wife Mollie have been married for
45 years, and are the proud parents of two children and
four grandchildren.
In his free time Glenn enjoys spending time with his
family, reading and visiting with his neighbors in
District 48 (if they agree with him!).
